Dr. Paredes graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in 1980 and in 1981 completed 1 year of service at General Hospital. His first year in private practice was at the O’Horan Merida Hospital in Yucatan, Mexico. In 1984, Dr. Paredes moved to Jalisco, Mexico and worked 3 years as a Resident Surgeon in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Institute of Jalisco.

From 1987-1995 trained under Reconstructive Surgery Chief Dr. Humberto Torres Ortega at the  Mexican Social Security Institute Category: Medical Specialist Performance Base.  Since 1987 he has his own clinic, Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
